Ron has been a public education teacher, principal, and senior leader. He currently consults as an executive coach, working with school leaders at all levels. Ron also serves as the executive director of the 4 Corners Latinx Leadership Academy, developing school leaders from Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah.

Dr. Ronald Cabrera has spent the past 45 years in the field of public education. He has worked as a consultant for various corporate and nonprofit leaders, as well as community groups. Ron served as the interim superintendent of the Denver Public Schools. He was also the assistant superintendent of instructional services and equity for the Boulder Valley School District in Colorado. In addition, Ron is the director and instructor of the Colorado Association of School Executives Leadership, Equity, and Diversity (CASE LEAD) seminar series.
Ron earned a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in English literature from the University of Colorado Boulder. He received a doctorate in educational leadership from the University of Colorado Denver. Ron has worked extensively with the University of Colorado Denver School of Education as an adjunct professor while initiating a doctoral program for graduate students of color.
