She is an expert in strategic program development and compassionate leadership, which has led to significant improvements in academic performance and school cultures. Dinorah is the executive director of curriculum and instruction for the Del Valle Independent School District in Texas.

Dr. Dinorah Bores is a dedicated advocate for children, especially those who have experienced adversity and trauma. A native of Brownsville, Texas, she is deeply committed to supporting vulnerable populations and empowering educators to better serve them. Dinorah is a mentor, trainer, and consultant for the Neurosequential Model in Education, supporting educators in applying trauma-informed, brain-based practices in the classroom.
Dinorah has worked in a variety of roles, including bilingual teacher, instructional specialist, principal, and district administrator. As a principal at three schools, she led transformative change, implementing programs, resources, and services that made a tangible difference in the communities she served. Dinorah is an award-winning educational leader whose approach centers on whole-child development, equity, and building strong partnerships between schools, families, and communities.
Dinorah earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and criminal justice from the University of Texas at Brownsville. She received a master’s degree in bilingual education from Texas State University. Dinorah completed her doctorate in executive public school leadership at the University of Texas at Austin.
