Marvene has more than 40 years of experience as a public educator in Arizona and Colorado. Her career included positions in the instruction and business side of school districts. Marvene believes that every student should be provided with opportunities that highlight their strengths while also providing resources to address their areas of challenge.

Dr. Marvene Lobato started as an elementary school teacher, and she retired as a school district superintendent. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in elementary education from the University of Northern Colorado and a Master of Arts in educational leadership from Northern Arizona University. Marvene received her doctorate in higher education teaching and learning from Argosy University - Phoenix.
Marvene is a strong advocate for providing students with optimal educational experiences that will enhance their interest in exploring and learning. She has been the voice for students and families at the local and state level. Marvene has extensive experience as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) and member of the Maricopa County Foster Care Review Board.
