Rosalinda is the director of multicultural curriculum at Tucson Unified School District in Arizona, where she has over 20 years of experience and a strong commitment to educational equity. She is a first-generation Mexican immigrant who overcame language barriers to earn a doctorate in educational leadership. Rosalinda is an award-winning administrator and author who inspires her educational community.

Dr. Rosalinda Rodriguez immigrated to the United States in 1998 from San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora, Mexico, at age 21, with a high school equivalency from Mexico and limited English proficiency. While raising two children, working full-time, and navigating a new culture, she earned her bachelor’s degree in education, a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction, and an education specialist degree in leadership and administration. Rosalinda received her doctorate from the University of Phoenix, where she explored the transformative impact of emotionally intelligent leaders on campus culture.
Rosalinda was named AZALAS Outstanding Administrator of the Year in 2021 and Outstanding Principal of the Year in 2024 by the Arizona School Administrators. She is also an accomplished author, with works including her memoir, A Purple Truck and a Box of Dishes, and the co-authored books Latina Radiance: Love Letters to the Soul and Latinx Radiance: Leadership Recipes for Success. Through her research, presentations, and leadership, Rosalinda inspires students, educators, and her community with the message that dreams are achievable through perseverance and education.
