Vivian is an educational consultant and a member of the Morris School District Board of Education in New Jersey.  She was an assistant superintendent of schools in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, and an associate dean of the College of Education at Kean University in Union, New Jersey.  Vivian is the co-author of the book Language Minority Students in the Mainstream Classroom.

Dr. Vivian Rodriguez has a bachelor of arts in Spanish and elementary education from Kean University.  In addition, she has two master’s degrees from Kean University: (1) English as a second language; and (2) educational leadership.  Vivian has a Ph.D. in language, literacy, and learning from Fordham University.  She has forty-three years of experience in public education and is currently Interim Director of Bilingual Education, English as a Second Language, and World Languages for the Perth Amboy School District.
